Drifting Pretty is happy to announce that K1 Speed has signed on to be the home of our 2012 DP Karting Series! K1 Speed has been a Drifting Pretty supporter in previous years and we welcome them back for the new year.

We are very grateful for their extended hand and we look forward to the upcoming races!

Drifting Pretty has frequented a number of K1 Speed locations throughout southern California including Anaheim, Torrance, and Ontario. Today will be the first in the series at K1 Speed Torrance. Stay tuned for the results!

Drifting Pretty is having our 3rd Annual DP Karting Series this coming Sunday, February 19 @ K1 Speed! Go-karting is one of the most affordable and accessible types of racing to participate in.  Valuable lessons in racing line, passing in a wheel-to-wheel environment, and breaking & throttle points are just some of the skills you will acquire racing in a series.

This will be our first race of four of this year’s point series.  After each race each driver will be awarded the following points:

1st Place:  8 points

2nd Place: 4 points

3rd Place: 2 points

4th Place: 1 point

All prospective, provisional and official members are welcome to attend.  If any ladies want to join us contact Julie for details and a detailed invitation!

Every year, Drifting Pretty holds our annual Kick-Off Meeting to start the new year.  This year was our biggest Kick-Off ever!! We had six new prospective members from all over Northern and Southern California and even all the way from Hawaii!

We began the meeting with a delicious potluck lunch…pasta, fried rice, homemade tamales, salad, rice crispy, cheesecake, and many more.  Then we discussed our upcoming events and goals for 2012.  This will be our 9th year in operation and it’s going to be exciting and busy! Charity Drive Update!

By popular demand, once again we will be supporting a selected charity at the banquet.  This year, we will be putting together care packages for homeless veterans.  We will be filling shoe boxes with everyday necessities that so many of us take for granted.
